National Nutrition Month at San Francisco Towers

Happy National Nutrition Month 2016! Here are a few photos of our Farmer's Market for our IL residents today. We are also having them play a fun game to guess which legumes, grains, greens and herbs are posted with a chance to win prizes.

The theme of National Nutrition Month 2016 is “Savor the Flavor” with the following points:
1.     Plant Forward (increasing fruits and vegetables)
2. Reduced Red Meat (reduced portions, making red meat an accent vs a main component, alternate proteins)
3. Whole Grains (increasing use of whole grains)
4. Herbs and Spices (using these to reduce salt, sugar and (bad) fat in the diet)

Join me in using this as an excuse to hone in on dietary changes and try something new. I decorated a board outside the G1 employee lounge with a few suggestions. Patrick and I are brainstorming (did you see all the stormy weather we created? – joking) on employee wellness right now too, so stay tuned.

Also, I will be hosting a monthly round table with our IL residents and welcome one staff member each month to join me from 12:00 – 1:00. Keep me posted if you are interested in joining me in a coming month and I will add your name to the list.

Enjoy March,
Don't stress and BE WELL.
Anita
