Maple Village celebrated African American Heritage on Feb 24th. April was our ambassador this month. She dressed in traditional clothing while she passed out roasted mixed nuts-southern style and she discussed the traditional colors of Africa and their meaning. The dining room was very engaged and they enjoyed chicken and sausage etouffee and shrimp po-boy sandwiches.
