Above is a photo from our teams presentation of AMITL Italian Heritage to the SNF residents at the Covington. Chefs Mike and Juan and Dietary Supervisor, Roger, created a presentation that included slides from Chef Mike's family vacation to Italy, along with a demonstration of an Italian Almond Christmas Cookie. Chef Mike walked the residents through the flavor profiles and step of his families recipe, while Roger showed the slides and played Italian Opera in the background. A few residents also reminisced about their travels to Italy and the foods they enjoyed. Chef Juan then passed out the Italian Christmas Cookies to residents and staff to enjoy. Everyone was very happy with this event.
